Our Approach
Look at the main causes of wasted food and how can we mitigate it.
- Looking to capture all food expiration dates in one location
- Give solutions to those user to help use everything
- Help notify user of already purchased item and upcoming expiration items
Looked at the best solutions we could find that would help reduce food waste for the average household
Mockups / sketches
We created a process that everyone could easily do to keep track and input their purchased in their database to be kept to date on everything within it.
Hifi Prototype
Created a way for users to find recipes using soon to expire items and use items that are currently within your household database.
Final Remarks
We focused on helping the user as much as possible. Give them quick and fast solutions so they don’t feel overwhelmed during the process. Helping them save where they can and make the most out of their purchases.
